tojikyoto
Hi, I installed Mac OS X Tiger on my laptop today, and I use grub to boot it. My problem is that, upon grub starting the booting process - I have no time to 'hit any key' to change the Darwin settings. Even if I'm continually hitting a key the whole time - it doesn't work. Because of this, the apple screen somes up... and it just sits there. Forever. Anyone have any ideas? Rammjet
As soon as the screen turns black after selecting OSX in Grub, start tapping the F8 key. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/23040-cant-enter-safe-mode/#findComment-152627 Share on other sites
tojikyoto
That worked!! I did -v to see what error I'm hitting and the end few lines read this - IOPCCard info: Intel PCIC probe: IOPCCard notice: Bad bridge mapping at 0x000a0000! not found. IOPCCardBridge::start failed Ever heard of that before? Rammjet
Do you have a setting in BIOS that allows you to change the state of your PC Card? If so, try changing that to see if it lets you boot. tojikyoto
As far as I can see, there isn't an option anywhere pertaining to that. Any other suggestions? Perhaps editting a file or moving one? Anything that can be done through linux is easy, I have ubuntu installed.
