you might have to reinstall.

make sure you pick the right kernel kext, I had accidentally selected Vanilla AND Sleep and consequently had that issue.

Also make sure your drive is formated fresh each time you try to reinstall.

You can do that using disk utilities from bootable disks like Kalyway 10.5.2

I'm not sure what you're using, but that did it for me.

Oh and also I hit F8 when the darwin prompt started prior to installation and I entered -v -x -y cpus=1

Im not sure if all will be necessary...but it worked like i said.

I am trying to Dual boot between Windows 7 x64 and OSX. I can get the partition made in windows, reboot using the iatkos v7, find the device in the "Device Utility", format for Mac, and install the OS. At the end it says I need to restart, which I do, and according to the directions I have it says to let it boot with the iatkos DVD, and type -s, and set the new drive as bootable using Fdisk commands. I do that, (And again following the directions) I reboot, and use my Windows7 repair cd to get back to windows. I then use EasyBCD to create the section in my bootloader. I reboot again, choose Mac, and it loads chameleon. It hit enter to load the Mac OS. At this point I get a white screen, (No logo or anything) and then it reboots. I've been searching the internet for days trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong. Any ideas out there??

Sys Specs:

Processor: AMD Athlon TF-20 1.6Ghz (ACPI x64 based PC)

RAM: 2gigs

VID: ATI Radeon HD 3200

HDD: Hitachi ATA 160GB drive

DVDROM: TSST CD-DVDW (DL) ATA

Sound: Realtek High Def Audio

BIOS: v1.07

I'm not sure on the motherboard just yet, but when I have that info I'll get it on here.

Now, this is a Laptop with one of those Recovery Partitions for reinstalling windows. When I first tried to do this, after installed iatkos v7, and did the Fdisk commands to set it as a bootable drive. I would let it reboot just to see if it would go into Mac and bypass Windows.. It wouldn't, the only thing it would load was the damn recovery thing.. At this point, I've given up, but if you know a solution to this, I would love to hear it, and give it a try. (And pray I don't fry my HDD by formatting that one partition a thousand times) If you need any other info please let me know.
