Hello,

For months I've know about hackintosh, but have never really looked into building one. With my funds not up to purchasing a $4000 tower, which I would never anyways, I have done as much research as possible to find a good combination in building my hackintosh.

These are my specs:

Motherboard: EVGA x58/ICH10R Chipset 3x SLI PCI EXPRESS 2.0

CPU: i7-930 2.80 Ghz

RAM: 2x8gb OCZ Reaper DDR3 PC3 1066

Graphics Card: EVGA 9800GT 1GB

HD: Velociraptor 300GB 10000rpm 16MB cache

My question is mainly regarding the video card because I feel as though I purchased the wrong type in order to work with Snow Leopard, but if not then please let me know how to configure this because I am having trouble finding solutions online with the type of motherboard I have. Also, let me know on your thoughts (pros and cons) with this build. I really like to hear if I've made good choices on account that I've only spent $1049 on everything.

MUCH APPRECIATED!!

Here's the GUIDE for EVGA and yes, your video card should work.

Sleep might not work for you when overclocked so make sure and change the settings in "Energy Saver" or your computer may not recover when it sleeps.

We have the same board and as you can see so do others.

Here are some helpful places:

AWESOME! Thanks so much!

great build but i'd recommend upgrading the 9800 to a ATI HD 5000 series they have 100% support and wayy better than a 9800

I'll definitely look into that, most likely will upgrade to that when the time comes once I build some more money, haha. Thanks for the advice!
