NickMiller
Hey Guys! I have a little problem w/ installing Hazard 10.6.2 Client/Server on my computer... I have gotten everything else working but my SATA/IDE controller. My iAtkos v7 DVD wouldn't recognize any hard drives or controllers, but Hazard recognized just 1 HDD (out of 2) and no DVD drive. I have been booting off an 8GB flash drive (horribly slow) for testing of Graphics/Internet/Audio, but I'm ready for an actual install on an HD. If possible, I would like to install Snow Leopard on an IDE hdd (30GB) because that is what I have lying around (My Windows HDDs are full). Any help is appreciated! Thanks in Advance, Nick Specs: CPU: AMD Phenom II x3 2.8Ghz Mobo: Gigabyte GA-MA78LM-S2 Graphics: ATI Radeon 4650 (Not sure if relevant)
surfer96822
Make sure the bios sees all the drives. You may need to try different bios settings # enhanced, combined, non-combined, auto, etc.

I tried switching sata cables, bought a sata dvd drive, even corrupted 2 brand new hard drives (under warranty) Seemed bios was corrupting. Sometimes would see all drives, sometimes not, sometimes wait a long time for bios screen to pass. I tried every imaginable bios config. SOLUTION: bought a new power supply and all these problems are resolved. I got a good deal on a 650 watt power supply but I suspect many 400-500 watt units would be fine also.
