EFI Strings Still Needed?

I am getting mixed up between older guides and new guides. When doing a vanilla install to a system with an Nvidia 260 and the Latest Chameleon RC4; do I still need the EFI strings for the video card?

 

If so, should I be able to boot into SL and then add the EFI strings?
