Having trouble enabline Quartz Extreme with nVidia GeForce GTX 9800

Comp Specs:

Intel core 2 Quad Q9600 2.66GHz

8GB RAM

nVidia GeForce GTX 9800

WD 750GB Hard drive

Gigabyte EP45-UD3P Mobo

 

I've tried downloading osx86 tools and enabling QE that way, however it didn't work. I also tried a number of other programs that downloaded kexts, which i installed with kexthelper.

 

Does anyone else know a solid solution to this problem?

I have a 9800 GTX and it works with Chameleon's GraphicsEnabler.

 

What's your card's device ID? Maybe you need to insert it into the kexts.

hi i have,

core2duo e4500 2.20ghz

xfx nvidia 8500gt 512mb

250gb hdd

3 gb ram ddr2

dp35dp motherboard

 

using snow leapord 10.6.3

iatkos s3 v2 works proper but when i install any kext then the mac slows down and games do not work

i think i have qe enabled but after installing kexts mac slows down game do not work movie do not work smooth and many qe software stops to work

 

help me to install kext

If you install more than one injector kext you can have that kind of problem.

 

Check which "NV" kexts you have, run in terminal

ls -d /System/Library/Extensions/NV*

Also, if you used OSX86Tools you might have a non-working "EFI" Device-Properties string in /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist. Remove it.

...unless all you did was check the 'QuartzGL' box. That does not enable hardware accelerated graphics by the way and can cause more harm than good.
