Zaap
There's a thread about the GTX275 896MB here. According to the 10.6.2 HCL wiki,CI/QE work, but they have NO selected under OpenCL.
TomCom
Nope! Open CL can be supported. That's my GTX 275: That's Open CL supported on my motherboard, which happens to be the best of the world—and far beyond :
Zaap
Nice card. Thanks, TomCom.
TomCom
Second hand gtx 2xx cards are real bargains for those who game on a Full HD display, knowing that DX11 is a joke, unless you can afford a 400-500$ graphic card. I intended to make the upgrade, but a GTX470 is only 20% more powerful and I'd have to change both my PSU and my poorly ventilated case for the GTX480. accorkie
Yeah i got a used XFX gtx275 and its working good so far and m OpenGL shows versin 1.6.7 with a YES. Only problem is my Graphics/Display shows: Unknown nVidia card: Chipset Model: Unknown nVidia card Type: GPU Bus: PCIe PCIe Lane Width: x16 VRAM (Total): 896 MB Vendor: NVIDIA (0x10de) Device ID: 0x05e6 Revision ID: 0x00a1 Displays: Display Connector: Status: No Display Connected SyncMaster: Resolution: 1920 x 1200 @ 60 Hz Pixel Depth: 32-Bit Color (ARGB8888) Main Display: Yes Mirror: Off Online: Yes Rotation: Supported Anyway to correct the way the card is identified? and does it affect performance? Just want to make sure I'm taking full advantage of the card. Also what benchmark programs are useful? thanks
TomCom
Informations displayed depend on the vendor of the graphic card. My bet is, as far as you get QE/CI, good resolution and VRAM, you shouldn't give a damn to cosmetic blahblah.

Zaap
Just look at your menu-bar- is it transparent, rather than solid grey? Also, go to dashboard and drop a new widget on the desktop- if it ripples, you're good to go with QE/CI.
