parkersmith
Hi im just wondering if it is possiable to install SL on a Gigabyte GA 965P DS3 if so can someone point me to the latest install tutorial Many thxs I just did it today with iAtkos S3 v2. Very happy and the only thing not working is my IDE ports. You will need to find the ISO. Look at http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...0&st=0& to find the torrent and burn to ISO. Boot up on the disc. After you format your drive with disk utility, do a custom install. Select your hardware drivers like graphics, network, etc. Do not install the sleepenable.kext. It will break your upgrade to 10.6.4. Once you get it up and running, do a software update to 10.6.4. As long as you did not install sleepenable.kext, you will reboot into 10.6.4. Then, add audio from the next paragraph. Remove the VooDoo kext file and also the Control Panel preference for it. I used this guide to get ALC888 audio working and installed the 2 kext files and used kext helper. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...0&st=0& I referenced this guide to. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=180954. Let me know if you get the IDE working. I had them working in 10.5 with Jmicron.kext, but have not focused too much since on them. I am about to hook up a new SATA Blu-Ray burner instead. KabutoTX
First you need to know the rev of the motherboard. The older 1.0 rev had a different sound processor. You can also check out Tim Sodhi's website at http://www.timothevs.net/ He has a rev 1.3 or 2.0 MB that used the ALC888. I have an older rev 1.0 and used boot-132.
