spinal_cord
I recently installed tiger on my old hp pavilion dv1000 laptop, which went well I guess. The gfx was stuck in 1024x768, but that's no big deal (I haven't the first clue about installing drivers or anything). I wanted to try Leopard, so I gave iAtkos a try, but after the install, I get the grey apple loading screen with a little ( / ) icon in the middle. The specs of the laptop are as follows - Intel 82852/82855 GM/GME Graphics Intel® Pentium® M Processor 740 (1.73 GHz) Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 900 - Pentium Intel® PRO/Wireless 2200BG & Bluetooth Can anyone offer any assistance? cyberghoser1
This should be related to ATA kexts not installed thus resulting in a boot loop, check if iAtkos has those upon customize selection and check to install them too. spinal_cord
I'll give that a look and try. I have edited the post a couple of times, one installer I used, which i believe to be iAtkos v7 causes the reboot, a different one, which I have no idea what it is, perhaps I should have wrote something on the disc causes the (/) icon. edit -- didn't seem to do anything, same reset. -- can anyone recommend me a good Leopard distro/installer (what ever you call them) for a complete n00b like myself?
