kayler
I have the same problem as other VAIO users, i have started by know my NVCAP starting for VGA BIOS. But sony have complicated more and more, and the VGA BIOS is integrated on motherboard BIOS. And then, first we have to extract VGA BIOS, sony bring you a BIOS file "aptio AMI" that it cannot be opened with the standart MMTOOL to extract VGA BIOS, and... i'm finding a tool to open that file... When we can have the VGA BIOS, we will have the correct NVCAP and then, we have to work in the sony SNC ACPI to control the internal display (the brithness, power, ...). audioone
I have the same problem on a Sony VGN-AW120 and using a variety of means including Corevidia kexts or EFI strings I end up with both HDMI and VGA working perfectly but no internal display. I have played with this for almost a year and basically hook my laptop to an vga monitor I have or just use the internal display as generic. The Sony bios is almost impossible to crack.
