goodfellaz
Having a problem getting a vanilla Retail Snow Leopard installation going. Here are my hardware specs: Gigabyte GA-965P-S3 Motherboard 2GB DDR 2 Intel Core 2 Duo GeForce 7800GT 256MB Maxtor 200GB SATA HD Samsung USB External DVD-RW Snow Leopard Retail 10.6.0 Boot-132 CD Keep having a problem where the Boot-132 disc loads, I swap in the OSX Retail DVD and I get 2 messages about loading HFS+ file: for the kernel, then screen goes blank and I can't continue. The video signal is still there to the monitor, just a pure black, blank screen. Any ideas on how to resolve this? I tried using the -v flag, but I'm not getting the usual scrolling of all the files its loading. I'm using the orange ICH8 SATA ports on the board, not the purple J-Micron.
