Moose Tracks
Are we seeing the end of the Mac OS? Well, two sites are reporting on a rumor to take away the Mac OS in a rename. The name? iOS desktop. The good thing would be everything would be under the same banner with iOS Desktop, Server, and Mobile. This could also be for a true tablet Mac with the iOS running as a layer on top of the Mac OS. My question on all of this--will everything be an iPhone/iPad/iTouch kind of OS or would we continue to see our regular Mac OS X with just a rename? Because if it's the former...let's just say I won't be a Happy Mac.
Guest jacobgeek
All it says is that they are going to rename Mac OS X to iOS Desktop, Mac OS X Server to iOS Server, And have iOS Mobile for iPhone/iPod Touch and iPad. Not too big of a deal unless they use the "Mobile" iOS on Macs.

Confusing More likely an OS rename scheme.
