Thank You........To all that helped

Happy 4th of July..... :D

I went to best buy and bought a PNY GeForce 9800GT 1024mb Video Card and that solved my problem

To all who are reading this thread...BEWARE :dev:

The "HIS ATI 4670" does not work with GA-P55_UD3, i7-860, ##### & Retail SL DVD 10.6.3!!!!!!

I read everyware that this is the card thats most supported but guess what......NOT!!!! :hysterical:

Anyway..........

Thanks agaain to all........

This is all about testing anyway so I hope this helps any other N00b like me ;)

Best regards HighwayTrucker

P.S.

I will be posting my G5 Mod Soon so stay tuned for a Kick Arss Water-Cooled case (Lime Green)

Hi....

Yes all is working now ;)

After install SL 10.6.3 all was working OOB !!! Except "Sleep"

So back to testing......

I first downloaded & installed SL update combo and then the custom

DSDT for my board (fixes many issues) as discribed in Tonymac's "#####-Mutibeast"

(using newest version of "#####").....(DSDT found on Tonymac's site)

But when I rebooted, guess what? no sound & no network ;)

LOL....but it tells you in the "#####" manual that this will happen after

installing custom DSDT..

So no big deal....... ;)

Just reopened "##### and chose Legacy888HDA.kext for the sound

and Realtec codec for the network and did a Reboot........ :) All Better !!

Messing around with .kext files can be a dangerous thing for a N00b like me

After trying to change a .kext file i was getting kernal panics...... ;)

But again....No big deal because ;)

After you get SL up and running the first time, if you ever have problems

Just press any key durring "Chameleon" to get a "Flashing cursor", to be able to type -X

This will get you into the safe mode of your newly installed SL so that you can remove

that .kext file thats causing the problem.......

.kext files are found in system/libary/extention folder

I have found it a good thing to look at the .kext files and write them down

Especially if you are going to Test and remove or add things....
