MacsPayne
I was running Leopard 10.5.5 iDeneb successfully virtually without any quirks. Now I'm trying to do a fresh install of Snow Leopard Retail version 10.6.3. I downloaded ##### "Supported", booted the Mac OSX DVD and installed everything successfully. However, the damn thing wont boot. If I try to enter via ##### the HD will labor for a long time getting me to the loading screen with the white background, apple logo and spinner. Spend there for 30 seconds and then just stay like that. Okay, so I tried booting directly from the HDD and all i get is "Loading Darwin" and the computer is trying hard to access my floppy drive. That's it. What am I missing here? My setup is: Core 2 Duo E7200 @ 2.54 Ghz 2 GB PC5300 RAM Hitachi SATA 500GB Integrated video GMA950

MacsPayne
Hackboot got me booting alright but now I have a myriad of other problems. GMA950 installation package that I used on 10.5 no longer works on 10.6. It installs without errors, i reboot, still graphics adapter is some default thing running at low resolution. Audio is busted, couldn't reuse the .kext from 10.5 either. D-link DWA-140 USB dongle works intermittently. I got drives from Realtek and it'll work for a while then stop. I put it into a different USB port and it'll work again, and stops again after a while. Rinse and repeate. I even successfully updated from 10.6.3 -> 10.6.4 but that did not alleviate my problems. try with HackBoothttp://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=220312 use -x
