{VoodooHDA is fine } nVIDIA MCP79 HD AUDIO / Realtek alc 663 issues

HI everybody

 

it's my first post here

 

i've installed snow leopard 10.6.3 from retail dvd ,

 

and updated with combo-update 10.6.4

 

i have a nice hackintoch with graphics and all other stuf ; except SOUND

 

my config is :

 

asus f5gl

 

intel core2 dueo T5850 2.16 ghz

4go DDR2

nvidia chipset

nvidia geforce 8200g m

realtek alc663 on nVIDIA MCP79 HD

so i Tried a lot off kext and tested many distro like iATKOS S3 ;

ideneb .... and never get a sound ,

 

with voodooHDA i get noisy sound ,

 

plz any solution and thnx

 

NOTE / if somone need help about installing from retail dvd , i think i can help ,

Great!!! I looked for a long time how I could fix the noise (almost distortion) and work fine now!

i want to ask if someone know how to save voodooprefpane paramettre , after reboot i lose all settings

 

i have to re adjust the micro level every time i reboot

hey,

 

i noticed you say everything's working with voodoohda. does that include hdmi? it shows in my system profiler but doesn't produce sound.

Doesn't work for me. I run Leopard 10.5.8 and somehow the driver does not work. No sound device found. All the working drivers give me noisy sound (latest driver I used is 0.2.6.1).

 

Which version of the experimental drivers did you use? 0.2.6.2? Unfortunately this one is not compatible with Leopard 10.5.8.

I have just tried hdmi it is the same as you i have in my profiler but no sound :wacko:

 

There seems to be a lot of progress with getting HDMI audio working by patching the AppleHDA.kext. I'm looking into that at the moment. It seems a little complicated but should be doable.
