thanks a lot!

for the wifi, you can use a wifi-PCI adapter, such as the ASUS WL 138g V2

Yup.

My processor works very well, so does the RAM. Sometime in the near future for me, both need to be adjusted with manual "overclock" settings in the bios since I noticed that the BIOS for the motherboard likes to play it safe and put the settings low - the RAM is set at 1079 MHz speed but its capable of 1600MHz.

The processor at 2.83 GHz but definitely can go up in speed as well.

The O/S works great, no problems booting up, shutting down, putting to sleep and waking up.

I just noticed another problem this morning though, (i think) my video card is buggy. I tried playing modern warfare 2 and I noticed multiple problems. First I noticed a weird interlacing or vertical sync issue where the display has a "horizontal bend" in the display that moves upward. Also, I noticed when I turned off antialiasing and set the resolution to what I use for my optimal display settings, the "skins"/textures on objects appear to have a black/brown saturations - faces of people look toasted! I definitely didn't like finding out about this!

I mean, I paid 90 bucks for this EVGA card and found out I can't get 3D rendering to work without issues.

Also, the display seems to cause a weird high pitch "calculating" sound when I move objects like windows around the screen [like if I make a selection marqee window in photoshop].

So, two things I didn't like - my network card and graphics card now. The others are great. The case is a little louder than I'd like and the headphone port has some weird static/noise interference that sucks [you can find out online that a lot of people have this issue with the case]

Good luck with your build!

Yea, I purchased SL from Amazon and they had the 10.6.3 version. I upgraded my OS to 10.6.4 and haven't had any problems with the upgrade on the software

so, i tested a couple more 3d games, it turns out these other games (Portal and GTA San Andreas) look fine...the textures dont have the issues that MW2 has.

I think you should be good with a similar build.

One thing i didn't mention.

HDD, make sure your primary is less than 1TB [i remember seeing that 1TB+ hdd have issues].

RAM - make sure the RAM is unbuffered [i heard this from sn0le - look for his guides on youtube]
