Hello everyone. I came across this wonderful world of osx86 a few months ago, and I've been quite interested in it.

Now coming to my question:

I'm planning to buy a new PC, (and wanna make it a hackint0sh) and i want to run Mac OS X leopard/snow leopard. My questions are:

What hardware do i need? Any recommendations?

What installation procedure should i follow?

Another question:

<maybe i shouldn't say it, maybe its not preferred over here cuz its piracy, but i have this question>

What are pre-patched versions of Mac OS? Is it suitable to use one for building my hackint0sh?

I'm a complete novice (in hackint0sh world), so i'm sorry for my simple language, and i expect simple replies from you all :P

P.S. I looked all over the forums, and all i found was confusing me, so i decided to post a topic!

P.P.S. Sorry if I posted in the wrong forum section...

Depends on your budget for the Build. But for distro i'd recommend iAtkos V7. comes with a good set of drivers and kexts. Also maake sure you run your Sata drives in AHCI mode otherwiise its unlikely they will be visible through the installation. You should find the option in the Bios. My build is:

ASUS M3N-HT Deluxe Motherboard

AMD Phenom II X4 3.08GHz

3GB RAM DDR2 800MHz

nVidia XFX 9800GTX+ Graphics card

500GB Sata HDD

1TB Sata HDD (Space)

Hope this helped, and hope it pushed other people to help aswell :)

I see... Well, looking at the data I've gathered so far, i guess i'll go for a distro/pre-patched OS... ;)

BTW, whats the difference between all these? Why go for iAtkos when you have iDeneb and iPC and others?

Does anyone know about 'SnowOSX'? I just read about it, and it was said to be the easiest one...
