Starcraft 2 beta & video driver issues

hi everyone -

As a big fan of the first starcraft I ran out to pre-order the sequel and get my beta key to try this out. Unfortunately it's looking like the video driver situation I have here on my machine isn't allowing me to play (or even get into it). I fire up the game and see nothing but a spinning planet - no menu, no nothing but a big intergalactic backdrop and sweeping music.

I tried the beta out on my under-powered macbook pro and it works there, so - I can only assume it's a driver issue on my hackintosh.

My Video/Display information:

------------------------------------

GeForce 8800 GT:

Chipset Model: GeForce 8800 GT

Type: GPU

Bus: PCIe

Slot: Slot-1

PCIe Lane Width: x16

VRAM (Total): 512 MB

Vendor: NVIDIA (0x10de)

Device ID: 0x0611

Revision ID: 0x00a2

ROM Revision: xx.xx.xx - internal

Displays:

DELL 2405FPW:

Resolution: 1920 x 1200 @ 60 Hz

Pixel Depth: 32-Bit Color (ARGB8888)

Main Display: Yes

Mirror: Off

Online: Yes

Rotation: Supported

Display Connector:

Status: No Display Connected

------------------------------------

In the few items I've found online about this someone mentioned something about using an injector and/or boot-string hack to get the right video drivers up and running. Can anyone point me somewhere to get things set up just right so this might work?

Thanks in advance!

Oh God I dreaded a post like this would come up. I am also running the 8800GT and wanted to try SC@ (but never got a bloody beta invite so I am stuck).

There is a post mentioning how to inject the information of your EFI string in apple.boot I'll dig it up for ya in a sec.
