fieryrage
I tried out SL in vmware on my laptop and it works great, but it was a little slow. So I then tried to install SL using the Hazard Snow Leopard 10.6.1-10.6.2 DVD onto a separate partition. The installation went smoothly (had to type busratio=16 before DVD would boot), but when I tried to boot it after the install, all I see is a flashing Apple bootscreen and then my laptop restarts. I've tried using -x, -v, -f, and busratio=16 but none of them work.. I also reinstalled it a couple of times with different options.... So what could be the problem? Here are my specs: CPU: 2.13 GHz Intel Core i3-330M processor Graphics: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4350 Graphics M93-S3 LP Thanks in advance.
mdnz01
What custom kernel did you select when installing? It's probable that the Hazard DVD uses a custom kernel but installs the vanilla kernel by default, and the current vanilla kernel is not supported by your CPU. And oh my CPU isn't supported by the default kernel? I couldn't find any appropriate kernels to install during the Installation (they looked like they were for Intel Atom/AMD). So is there another distro I should use or something?
