Hello everyone,

I have a small problem before i have a perfectly running Hack.

My laptop seems to be running alot hotter compared to when i run windows 7.

The palm rests gets really hot that its very uncomfortable to work but when i use

windows 7 everything seems okay. Is there anything i could do so that it runs cooler?

PS: I am running 10.5.8 Retail with Chameleon as my bootloader on HP Dv5.

I would like to to know what i can do to reduce the temps as i do want to switch to using Mac

If anyone wants more information about the kexts i have in /Extra Folder please let me know.

Thanks alot and i hope to get help from this ever growing wonderful community!

i would be checking out your power management kext's, using ideneb here on mine will open with pacifist and take a look at the power managment package there, well really its a speedstep thing.

anyhow using voodoopower but also in the package theres an app called GenericCPUPMcontrol.app maybe its modded to work with it i don't know.

this may help you more http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...3774&st=380

and try googling GenericCPUPMcontrol

Edit: might wanna startup in verbose and check if voodoopower.kext is having any problems or there something else conflicting with it
