VooD
I don´t know if it has to do with sse3 to see2 patches, or tpm cracking, but after loading iChat its child process iChatAgent shows as "Not Responding" in the activity monitor after a few seconds. Also if you try to make use of the videoconference feature you get image and sound for about 1 second and then crashes completly. I can verify that not responding proccess happened always. From deadmoo´s first dd image to my lastest install (patched developer dvd with Maxxuss 0.5c) Regards Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/2166-why-ichatagent-process-crashes/ Share on other sites
Braveheart
I Tried Ichat with the deadmoo image and could not get it to work at all. But since doing the dvd setup it works fine for keyboard chat but as soon as i try video or voice, i get it for about 1 or 2 seconds then ichat just closes down. Does anybody have a fix for this? Roland77
we probably need core-image / Quartz extreme to use these features... Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/2166-why-ichatagent-process-crashes/#findComment-15992 Share on other sites
Braveheart
Even for Voice Chat only Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/2166-why-ichatagent-process-crashes/#findComment-16015 Share on other sites
FluffyWithTeeth
OSX does this even on my G5 Powermac. I know not why, but attempting to restart the agent screws over your iChat connections, so just leave it... kday
Eh, don't use iChat when you have apps like Adium. Ir's a much better client IMO.
