Ethos
I've installed this version fine "Mac.OS.X.Tiger.10.4.6.X86-HOTiSO" but whenever I try to boot it states the cpu has been disabled by the guest machine and says it has to restart. I have no idea of a way around this or a fix. Can anyone help!?! Thanks in advance Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/21600-the-cpu-has-been-disabled-please-help/ Share on other sites
gwprod12
Big bad kernel panic in Vmware. What are your computer's specs? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/21600-the-cpu-has-been-disabled-please-help/#findComment-142771 Share on other sites
cprime
I too had this problem... I read some place about the kernal patches not being applied correctly. It was pretty easy to fix... reboot from the install disc, open a terminal (I think from the utilities menu) and type cp mach_kernal /Volumes/disc reboot and I was cool for school... When I installed osx I named my disc "disc", the name on your system will be different. hope that helps. c. bobaboy
also had this problem... did the thing cprime suggested, however still receiving the same error message. i'm assuming the mach_kernel file is from the dvd right?
