Load of /sbin/launchd failed, errno 5. JaS 10.4.6 Install DVD boot problem

Hi, I thought I would be able to install OS X but it looks like I can't. I had my JaS disk image working perfectly in VMware, so I put the DVD in my computer, rebooted.

I put in -v -x platform=X86PC and started the installer. It stops at Load of /sbin/launchd failed, errno 5. I tried without -v -x platform=X86PC, -v -x, etc and none of them worked.

Is this a problem with my DVD or can it easily be fixed?

Specs:

Intel Celeron D 331 2.66GHz

Asus P5P800 motherboard

Samsung 200GB Hard Disk

1GB Ram.

i forgot to say, I burnt the DVD at 1x. So I dont know why its being dodgy.

I tried this again on VMware with the DVD not the disk image in the boot process (when loading the installer)

I got this:

disk1s3: I/O error.
SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed, ASC = ASCQ = 0X05
SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed, ASC = ASCQ = 0X05
SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed, ASC = ASCQ = 0X05

SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed, ASC = ASCQ = 0X05

it just repeats that and doesn't stop. Is this a disk burning error? I had to transfer the image over a network to a different computer to be burnt. I can't get it to an other computer without spliting it, and HJ split is being a {censored} and wont do anything.

 

Any ideas?

I'm having the same prob with 10.4.8, absolutely no success.

 

Even less success finding info on the problem... so i second this plea for help.
