Yeah I hope so.

If I don't use any GFX driver (in DSDT or in EFI Strings), I can boot with HDMI but of course in 800x600 mode without QE/CI.

So there really is a problem between G92 cards OSX drivers, and HDMI.

Can anyone confirm that HDMI works in 10.6.3 with another video card ?

using 9800 GT with dvi-hdmi to a tv and I'm having the same issues I had with 10.6.2...however, I can't even get the "fix" working by replacing the kexts with 10.6.1...

dual dvi works fine...

i wish I never bought this TV...time to post it on craigslist...

The same problem was present with 10.6.2 and HDMI monitors.

All we had to do was that:

Did you try it in 10.6.3 to see if it works?

Edit: I just tried it and it didn't work out for me.. Blue screen (instead of blank) and then just hangs...

same for me...the "fix" (that's not really a fix) we were using for 10.6.2 doesn't seem to work...I get two blue screens on both the dvi and the dvi-hdmi and it hangs....

booooo!

In case AppleHPET cause your USB mouse unavailable, if your USB keyboard is not working then I think you could boot into Windows and install MacDrive so you can delete AppleHPET.kext from Mac HDD

Done, deleted AppleHPET.kext but the problem is still there, no mouse or keyboard?

Any other ideas?

Installed combo update, everything works if only only 1 monitor plugged in. I can plug in second monitor on second card and that works (8600 + 8800). But if I plug in 1080p tv to card it hangs. Tried using nvresman from 10.6.1, that just blue screens at load. then when I tried to restore original system just KPs on boot. booted using another drive and reinstlaled 10.6.3 update, now back to the 2 monitors working out of 3.

p5k deluxe, E6750, 8600 + 8800

10.6.3 update works for me.

Replace only AppleHDA.kext

Don't need sleepenabler.kext

VoodooHDA gave me a kernel panic after update, I removed and it worked fine, but no sound

I am now using the AppleHDA.kext modified for ALC888 from

[GUIDE] Retail Snow Leopard (10.6.2) Install on Gigabyte GA-EX58-UDR3 (Core i7), Fully working 100%, ALC888 v1.8.3fc1 Included

I am using a GA-EP43-UD3L motherboard, the myHack Installer 1.0, and a

DSDT for my motherboard

And in my /Extra/Extensions folder all I have is

EvOreboot.kext

FakeSMC.kext

NullCPUPowerManagement.kext

Now THAT didn't go so well ;)

I was running 10.6.1 happily and decided to do the 10.6.3 combo update. I got kernel panics all over the place, somehow the disk became unbootable even after a time machine restore and a fresh install. I had to reinstall pc efi and chameleon, usb enclosures, swapping in and out etc etc.

I finally have my old system back.

Now, let's figure out how to do this right. Got a superduper clone image all done up, boot usb stick good to go. I'll make this work yet.

Here's hoping someone can help me. I have a Dell Latitude D420 with the Intel GMA945 GPU running 10.6.3. Everything is working correctly except I have one issue which I have no idea how to fix, I a newbie at this stuff (coming from Windows).

I have searched all over this forum and others with no luck, there doesn't seem to be any other people with the same issue. so here is the call for help.

Essentially when I try to view photos using Preview or iPhoto nothing shows on the screen. The picture opens and the functions of the application work as expected, ie zoom, etc but the actual picture is not rendered on the screen

Everything was ok with 10.6.2..

Thanks

Can someone tell me if it is necessary to remove SleepEnabler.kext if the kext is on a separate partition?

i.e. I have a boot partition with chameleon and extra/extensions folder together with my DSDT etc

IF I do need to remove the kext in this situation, should I remove AND reboot BEFORE updating? Or is removal enough WITHOUT the reboot?

Cheers

It means you have no QE/CI

you could try to use this solution that you can find here

Everything works fine for GA-EP45-UD3LR after update to 10.6.3 ^_^

EXCEPT the ALC888 :P

Thank You oldnapalm for solution!

ALC888 no longer works with LegacyHDA after update, you have to edit AppleHDA binary and replace 8508EC10 by 8808EC10. Here is the modified kext http://www.mediafire.com/?kjxxm4whdzu

Chameleon 2.0-RC4 with Netkas PC EFI V 10.6

Extra Extensions:

AHCIPortInjector.kext

CPUInjector.kext

JMicronATA.kext

LegacyHDA.kext

OpenHaltRestart.kext

PlatformUUID.kext

fakesmc.kext

Sleepmodus works without Sleepenabler.kext i was surprised.

I guess the new Chameleon does support it. But I'm not sure about this.

My little 945GCM-S2L went fine after updated to 10.6.3.

after the upgrade on my 945GCM-S2L the graphic card (GMA 950) is not detected anymore. worked fine in 10.6.1 and 10.6.2. as it worked with the default kext, i don't have any idea want went wrong and how to fix it. any idea?
