badluck
Hi there. First let me say that I've googled and read various forums for hours, trying to find something out. Desperate I turn to you. I have a no-name bluetooth dongle (identified as ISSCEDRBTA, prod: 0x1004, ven: 0x1131). It is recognized out of the box by both Leopard and Snow Leopard. I have a bluetooth icon in the preferences and everything. Problem is that when I'm trying to connect anything via bluetooth, pairing process freezes after entering the code on the device. It looks like pairing is finished on my Mac (device icon appears in the bluetooth prefs with both 'connected' and 'paired' options set to 'yes') but everything just waits for something else to happen. Here is what system logs show: 10-03-17 21:53:44 Bluetooth Setup Assistant[251] starting pairing 10-03-17 21:54:10 Bluetooth Setup Assistant[251] connection timeout: did not receive reply 10-03-17 21:54:10 System Preferences[247] connection timeout: did not receive reply 10-03-17 21:54:41 kernel [[0xffffff8007f3f000] Req OpCode 1004 from: blued (40) status: 00 state: 2 timeout: 40000] Bluetooth warning: An HCI Req timeout occurred. 10-03-17 21:54:46 kernel [[0xffffff8007f3f000] Req OpCode 0C37 from: blued (40) status: 00 state: 2 timeout: 5000] Bluetooth warning: An HCI Req timeout occurred. 10-03-17 21:54:53 kernel [IOAppleBluetoothHIDDriver][prepInterruptChannelWL][00-1f-5b-fb-8b-0e] _interruptChannel->waitForChannelState returned error 0xe00002c0 10-03-17 21:54:53 kernel [IOAppleBluetoothHIDDriver][handleStart] staticPrepInterruptChannelAction returned error e00002c0 10-03-17 21:54:53 kernel [IOAppleBluetoothHIDDriver][handleStart] Failed. 10-03-17 21:55:26 kernel [[0xffffff8007f3f000] Req OpCode 0413 from: blued (40) status: 00 state: 2 timeout: 40000] Bluetooth warning: An HCI Req timeout occurred. 10-03-17 21:56:06 kernel [[0xffffff8007deb000] Req OpCode 0807 from: blued (40) status: 00 state: 2 timeout: 40000] Bluetooth warning: An HCI Req timeout occurred. 10-03-17 21:56:11 kernel [[0xffffff8007f3f000] Req OpCode 0406 from: kernel_task (0) status: ED state: 2 timeout: 5000] Bluetooth warning: An HCI Req timeout occurred. 10-03-17 21:56:17 kernel [[0xffffff8007f28000] Req OpCode 0C3F from: blued (40) status: ED state: 2 timeout: 6000] Bluetooth warning: An HCI Req timeout occurred. -- at this point I'm closing the Bluetooth Assistant -- After that the devices are not connected at all. I have to unplug the usb dongle in order to unfreeze the bluetooth preference pane. I've tested that on my Apple alu keyboard and my cell phone. On Leopard I've found solution to be swapping both IOBluetoothFamily.kext and IOBluetoothHIDDriver.kext for the ones from 10.4.8. After that my bluetooth is working flawlessly. On Snow Leopard those kexts don't work. I have no idea what the problem is, since the dongle is recognized and all. Any help is welcome. Until I get my bluetooth working on Snow Leopard I'm stuck to my old PS2 keyboard...
Promas
I have this problem too. Can't connect my Magic Mouse with dongle. Snow Leo writes "Connection established" and doesn't moves forward.
badluck
I have this problem too. Can't connect my Magic Mouse with dongle. Snow Leo writes "Connection established" and doesn't moves forward. I found no solution to this. Finally I bought the cheapest dongle available (for $2) and it works flawlessly. It is recognized as Cambridge Silicon Radio. nonick2
Any updates on this? I have a CSR one too (bought 3 dongles, 3 CSR same chipset, talk about luck) what's even more funny is that my 2006 macbook has a CSR bluetooth... Now I'm sharing the magic mouse trough synergy but that's not a real solution... Well the 4th dongle did it is the msi the which you can see the usb contacts.
