swingingkazoo
I just did a fresh install of 10.4.6 and everything has gone fine except that I have no clock or battery or anything on the right hand side of my menu bar. Occasionally I see a blue search icon (the magnifying glass thing) blink a couple of times. Wireless is working and I've gotten the powermanagement.bundle in there. Any ideas on what is wrong and how to fix? thanks Also, --- whenever I try to display "about this mac" the whole desktop wipes clean and reloads like the first time you start up (dock and all windows disappear then reappear) ??? Arcanis
Replace your SystemUIServer.app in /System/Library/CoreServices with a working one.
dooododoo
The same annoying thing happened to me too. I did a clean fresh install of jas 10.4.6 and I had nothing on the right side of the menu bar except for the occasional blinking blue spotlight icon. Any reason why this would occur? modifiedmind
where do I get a "working" SystemUIServer.app?
dooododoo
I'm not sure where you get a new working file. But I finally figured out what I have been doing wrong after 3 OSX86 reinstalls. When you select the "Customized" install option when you install osx86, make sure you select the correct semjaza driver. I have an INTEL and I kept on selecting the semaja for AMD. just read carefully when you choose your drivers and everything should be fine. modifiedmind
I figured out I could download the update from apple and use pacifist to pull the file out.
