com.apple.dashboardlauncher catch or modify

Hi,

my SL does not fall into automated sleep. I found out that the reason for this are some widgets, that periodically access the Internet and prevent the system to fall into sleep auto sleep problem

After some goolgling I found a little script that I modified to turn Dashboard on or off.

This is more a workaround than a solution.

I would like to code the following (but am too fresh in osx coding):

1. the dashboard should by default be set OFF

2. when the Dashboard is started (I guess thats com.apple.dashboardlauncher for) the Dashboard should be set to ON

3. after leaving the Dashboard it should be turned off again

Do you have any suggestions, how to solve point 2, i.e. catch the event when dashboard is starting up.

I see two possible solutions, first is to catch the dashbaordlauncher event, second is to modify dashboard launcher itself.

Thanks for any suggestions
