Artifesto
nVidia Geforce 8200mGPU Chipset + Motherboard AMD Athlonx64 x2 Dual Core Processor 7450 2.4Ghz 3Gb DDR2 RAM 20" HD Widescreen LCD Moniter at 1600x900x32 60hz 320Gb Internal Sata HDD, 120Gb External IDE HDD Dual Boot Windows 7/Mac OS X 10.6 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Installed Vmware 7 on windows and used Mac OS X 10.5.5 Vmware image to install the OS X 10.6 (Retail) to External HDD, then applied AMD kernel and edited com.apple.boot.plist (not sure if thats exactly what its called, since its been awhile since messing with it), working to get network support (using WUSB 100v2). Did not use any prebuilt ISO's or OSx86 Distros, did not have to chose and pick which drivers i wanted (like in iPC Installation). Overall the process took me 2-3 hours to complete with trial and error and checking + rechecking to make sure everything is correct. will post more info soon *UPDATE* i have enabled networking, just through ethernet. i doubt i will ever find a kext that will enable my wireless receiver. now my project is getting the recommended resolution for my moniter, as everything is stretched as 1024x768 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/208730-succesfull-installation-of-snow-leopard-on-amd-machine/ Share on other sites
