seanbperiod
My Release 1 install went smoothly and booted fine, with mouse support (wired) and sound.. but after the graphical loading screen, i believe i get the keyboard assistant sasying that my keyboard cannot be found, and to "Click here" - which of course has the neverending busy cursor. I'm using a Gyration wireless keyboard, and the hub is connected via USB. I read the instruction manual and it did say that there "may" be limited functionality in Mac OS8+ and Windows 98 - but I think that may just be relating to the media keys - as the keyboard was fully functioning during the install process.. I see a few others have been having wireless keyboard problems post install - Why not dedicate this thread to those problems, indicating what keyboard you are using, how it's connected and whatever other details.. Solutions are also welcomed Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/2051-release-1-no-keyboard-found/ Share on other sites

cyrana
Make sure in your BIOS that you don't have legacy USB support enabled. Something like that anyway. On my 945 system there are options for enable USB Mouse and enable USB keyboard. They make both disfunctional in OS X, but make them work in OS that don't have USB drivers. antic
I had the same problem during the first installation of Release 1. During the patch option section I inadvertantly unchecked the "Extra Extentions" (I think thats what it was called), it was listed above the SSE2, SSE3 processor option. After re-installing it worked fine Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/2051-release-1-no-keyboard-found/#findComment-14483 Share on other sites
