gregorykay
I want to follow this guide http://lifehacker.com/5360150/install-snow...acking-required but dual boot SL and Win 7 using Windows and add an option for OSX using easy BCD. Does that mean I must install osx on an MBR partition table or can I install it on a GUID as the guide says and still dual boot using windows. Thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/204194-guid-or-mbr/ Share on other sites

Does that mean I must install osx on an MBR partition table or can I install it on a GUID as the guide says and still dual boot using windows. Thanks I use MBR with my dualboot, OS X 10.5.8 and Windows 7. Installed Mac OS X first, configured disks before installation and after installed Windows 7. Works just fine.. 1. Install Mac OS X 2. Create DOS partition with Disk Utiliy of even NTFS if you have NTFS 3G installed ! 3. Install Windows 7 and then configure BCD Just one thing, why Easy BCD? Chameleon is more than bootlader, with latest verisons Mac recognizes a lot hardware especially CPU-s correctly if you have Chameleon. If you choose chameleon do have one thing in mind. If you install Windows 7 after OS X than primary boot partition will be windows so you will have to set Mac OS X partition primary to have chameleon chooser.
