system tweaker
hey guys need a hand here. have a lovely thinkpad T42 i got 10.5.6 installed successfully on and updated to 10.5.7 via the download the andy kernel boot into the old and install new, however im having some weird issues. on the first run it doesnt work unless its in verbose mode... i dont think it should matter but if i boot with the lovely mac screen i get a kernel panic. (no camera sorry) do i need to restore kexts? is there a better way? is it possible to skip straignt to snow leopard? (would be nice) kernel panics suck, especially when you get them on a reboot when you didnt install anything life threatening. the kexts for the 10.5.6 i installed were AD1980 Intel pro VE LegacyAppleIntelPIIXATA Patched usb drivers Power Package Bundle Seatbelt.kext 10.5.5 PS/2 keyboard fix Applesmbios Toh acpi fix Cpus=1 Finder 10.5.5 +keyboard.prefpane IntelCPUPMdisabler patch DSDT the hardware is 1.8Ghz Pentium M/2MB L2 Cache/400Mhz FSB Windows XP Pro 1.5GB DDR PC2700 Memory 60GB Hitachi 7200RPM Hard Drive 15" SXGA+ FlexView Screen Hitachi-LG CDRW/DVD Combo Drive/External NEC ND-6500A DVD Burner Nine Cell Lithium-Ion Battery/ Modular Bay Battery 64MB ATI Radeon 9600 Intel 2200BG Wireless/Bluetooth/56k Modem 2 USB 2.0/2 PCMCIA Slots/Parallel Port/Serial Port//VGA Out/PS2 Port Headphone Jack/Line-Out/Volume & Mute Buttons Fingerprint Reader ThinkLight Three year warranty until April of 2008 6.2lbs./Width 13"/Depth 10.6"/Height 1.3" Thanks in advanced Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/199350-update-thinkpad-t42-to-1057-help/ Share on other sites
