Hi all,

Earlier this year I installed Leo4All v2 successfully on my HP TX2000. It ran fairly well, but I didn't end up keeping it on. I'd like to give it another go, but now I get stuck in a boot loop. When I choose to boot from CD, it gets about 4 lines in and resets to "Press any key to boot from CD."

Pressing F8 leads me to the startup volume, the only entry of which is:

hd(31,0) Leo4All-10.5.2

I've tried all sorts of combinations of startup keys (cpus=1, -v -f -x, etc etc), but no joy.

The weirdest thing is that I'm using the EXACT SAME DISK that worked 6 months ago. It's not scratched or anything. I have also tried resetting my bios, that didn't help.

Anyone encounter this problem?

ya, I'm getting the same issue on my compaq CQ60. Got some good suggestions on here but could never get it going. I would suggest trying a different distro. (Kalyway, IPC, iatkos) and see if any of them will help you. I myself tried a bunch and non of them ever got me into Darwin (or whatever the installer is called). With Kalyway using -x, I was able to get further (about 50 or so lines I would guess vs just the first 4) but then it would reboot again.

If you can figure this out, please pm me to let me know what you did. I have a nagging feeling that this may be due to a setting in the BIOS that we can't access since HP oh so loves to use custom bios' with almost no configurable options.

No kidding... The thing is, I haven't changed any bios settings, and I even tried reverting to default, still no joy.

And I had it working on this computer, with this disk 6 months ago. So weird...

From reading the TX2000 thread, it seems like different distros don't work as well (when installed, haha) on this machine, but still, it must be worth a try.
