Mylan Connolly
I have a few problems left, but so far most of it is working! Here are the problem areas: When I go to boot up, I have to do it in safe mode, otherwise it will crash upon loading the login screen. I initially thought it was the video drivers, so I looked for some other kexts, and replaced the ones in my system with the new ones found on this forum. They seem to work alright (it's weird that they are loaded when I boot in to safe mode though). I now can see at the native resolution and the system profiler detects the graphics card so I guess they are loaded properly. The graphics on this system are provided by the ever-so-shoddy Intel GMA950. So that leaves a few other options. I'm not sure what kext is causing the system to lock up, because it still does it, unless I boot in to safe mode. It automatically restarts, so I cannot tell where it fails at, or if I would be able to tell that anyway. Hyperthreading. I understand this is a problem with OSX, but I'm not sure how to fix that. Can this be fixed? It's an Atom board by the way. Can't really tell how sound works because I don't think that's loaded up in safe mode anyway. Thanks for any help!
