First - thank you for all the great work and input that everyone has put into this place. I just found it recently and am very impressed with the community and its helpfulness.

I have searched through the threads and did as much reading as I could without confusing myself by the way of analysis - paralysis.

I just recently upgraded my VMWARE 6.5 to 7.0. I downloaded the Empire EFI and tried all kinds of way to make it work and the only one that worked was the OSX 10.6 Server Experimental.

I have a Dell Precision 6400 Covet with Core2 Extreme CPU Q9300(2.53Ghz). 12MB of Memory. Nvidia FX 3700M 1GB Graphics Card and RAID 0 - 500MB.

I recently changed the BIOS to AHCI as I read it was better to get recognized. With a couple of attempts it was going nowhere even with the OSX 10.6 Server Experimental version. I changed it to AHCI and broke apart the RAID 0 and it works pretty well in VMWARE 7.0

I had to install the VGAII package to get it to offer me choices for 1900x1200x32. No Sound yet.

When I open the system profiler it says its a 30mhz processor due to the BIOS? that was part of the vm package? Not sure how to change that.

Also I have a IDT 92HDXXX audio card on the laptop. Got to work on the sound.

My profiler also says that my video is running on VRAM 128MB? Would this be the reason when I try to open up a JPG I cannot preview it? The system functions okay for being a hack job from me. I just wanted to see if I could make it work.

I know I am missing things and I am trying to learn so please be kind :D I try to read before I ask a question.

Any ideas? I saw the EFI 10.4 with the correct CPU detect but I am in VMWare so I am not sure it that will work. I do not want to Dual Boot.

Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated. I have allocated 4GIG of memory for the system.

Summary: VMWARE 7 | Snowleopard 10.6.1(updated), VGAII(drivers), No Sound, No correct CPU, Incorrect Graphics Card detection.

I apologize if i am not more detailed. I didn't want to go overboard on my first post.

Thank you in Advance for any help!
