jordancameron7
I am upgrading my onboard video card (long overdue). I am running iPC OSx86 10.5.6 on a Dell Dimension 3000, that only has PCI card slots, no AGP, PCIe, etc. etc. I would like one that can run quartz extreme. I am very newb at this mac thing, so I don't really know anything about the EFI things that I read about on here. I don't really care about budget, probably around 100$? I also don't care if its ATi or nVIDIA. Thanks a lot in advance, Jordan http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=141072 Will the nVIDIA GeForce 9400GT actually work for QE/CI? jordancameron7
nVIDIA GeForce 9400GT works ok under iPC 10.5.6. i'm using it Ok, does that mean that you have quartz extreme enabled? As I said, I am completely new to macs, and hackintosh, plus I'm only 16, so I may need some assistance. What video card do you have? I was thinking about this one for me: EVGA GeForce 9400GT 1GB - is the 1GB overkill? this is the first video card I've ever bought. - I don't game, I do graphics & video editing - if it is overkill, maybe the: EVGA GeForce 9400GT 512MB? Also, did your video card work 'out of the box', or did you have to mess around with stuff? - if so, what did you have to do? I really appreciate your help, Jordan Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/196548-working-pci-video-card-qe-1056/#findComment-1323954 Share on other sites
