Carlit0
For me both version 0.2.1 and 0.2.2 worked, but 0.2.2 doesn't list all the 5.1 inputs. (audio shows up as 'Unknown'So try both and figure out which one you like better. I can PM you 0.2.2 if you need it. And yes that is the correct way to install. Perhaps this will help too. I find that when I boot into my Windows 7 drive and then boot into Snow Leopard, the audio will not work unless I shut the computer down and unplug the power supply in between Win 7 and Snow Leopard boots. Don't know why this is, or if its only a Windows 7 problem but it wouldn't hurt to try. Yes gaerout, can you please email me 0.2.1 and 2.2. Thank you in advance. What do you mean by "when I boot into my Windows 7 drive and then boot into Snow Leopard" ? You don't use a dual boot? I have 2 drives, one with Win 7, and one with OS X. I just have to choose at the startup which OS i want to launch. (With PC EFI; Apple Logo or Windows Logo + other NTFS and HFS+ partitions). I'm not able to launch Windows 7 then, load OS X. A restart (power off/on) is needed. (I think.. maybe i'm wrong). ONLY when I use the gaerout's method: Power off the computer while being in OS X (remove power cable, not a regular shutdown). Then, at the next boot, it works... Very strange! Any solution to this? And now... lets debug my other major problem: my Sapphire HD4890. A question: how to recognize when QE/CI is enabled? Thank you! gaerout
Can't help you there, try doing a forum search for your card. QE is enabled if interface movements like exposé and minimizing windows are fluid. You would notice if it wasn't because everything would look dull and be really choppy. There's also a program called Quartz Extreme check I believe, you can probably find it on google. Good to see you got your sound working. renderscout
Hey everybody. I´m new in this hackintosh stuff but i got my Asus Maximus 3 Gene working nice with 10.6.3! But i have a major issue with my system. I can´t shut down my computer. I used tonymacx install method without a specific DSDT file wich works very fine for me. I changed to S3 State in BIOS without any affect. I´m not able to shutdown the system from OS X. So iam very pleased if anyone can help me in this case?!
