looking for some advice on having a single bootloader w/ all my HDs and partitions recognized. here's my setup:

3 Separate Hard Drives:

1st SATA: iPC 10.5.6 w/ Voodoo 9.5 kernel

2nd SATA: Windows XP

1st Master IDE: iPC 10.5.6 upgraded to 10.5.8 w/ anv XNU 9.8 kernel

the 1st SATA OSX install is my primary OS. I am using the OS on my IDE HD to mess around w/ and test out updates etc. right now, my bios is set to boot from "Hard Drive" (there is no specific option to select which hard drive" and so it default boots from the 1st SATA. if i want to boot from XP or the IDE HD, i press F8 at boot up and can select it manually from there. ideally, i'd like to have a bootloader load up that will give me the option of choosing the OS from each HD. is there any software out there that will let me do this without having to reinstall any of my OS's?

my mobo is an ASU A8N-SLI Premium AMD dual core. also, all of these hard drives are MBR.

thanks for the help. lemme know if you need more info.

You could try to install Chameleon 2.0 RC3 on your default HD (1st SATA), then it should detect other OSs in other HDs (at least the sata one, don't know about IDE).

Take a try and good luck! :(

Leader, thanks!

installed chameloeon 2.0 rc3 and worked perfectly. i ended up rearranging all my HDs and partitions so that in the end i had this:

1st SATA: WindowsXP/basic OSX (for troubleshooting in the future) - installed chameleon on this partition and it recognizes ALL my OSes on multiple HDs now. awesome.

2nd SATA: Backup/"TimeMachine" HD

3rd SATA: HD for testing new OSes, eg SL or Win7

IDE: leopard 10.5.8 (main drive) - switched it over to this one cuz it's actually a lot quieter than my other SATA drives.

now everything's running as smoothly as can be. love it.
