Mr.Tawan
Hi, I have Snow Leopard running on my box for a while now (thanks to discussions in the forum here). My system's mainboard is Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 which comes with ALC883. I have the pop-sound problem, which is said to be solved by changing the SMproductname to 'MacPro3,1' by using smbios.plist. However, after I have tried playing around with the file, I still don't have the good result. At first it looks like the settings are not injected. But after I carefully look at it, it looks like it is incorrectly injected somehow. Below is the one I'm using currently. I don't make this one myself, just copy from some thread in the forum. And this is what the System Profiler says:- Looks like the smbios.plist is not loaded, but the Serial Number (system) says : MacBookAir -- which is what I've put in the SMfamily element. I have tried changing SMfamily's value to be something else, and the Serial Number (system) is updated accordingly. Not really sure what is going on. I'm using Chameleon 2 rc3. Any helps are appreciated. PS. I installed the Chameleon 2 by using the RC2 installer. The installer was failed to install, but I still have the system boot. Is it the possible cause for the issue ?
