nomar383
So, I followed the guide at this link to install snow leopard and subsequently upgrade to 10.6.2: http://www.infinitemac.com/f57/guide-retai...for-g31m-t3672/ Worked great. Everything works. Now, I try to restore from my Time Machine Backup (from a vanilla leopard install on the same box) and I get a kernel panic upon reboot. For some reason I also can't enter boot options in chameleon either (so no verbose mode to find out what the problem is). I tried the first time by copying everything from my TM backup. When that didn't work, I reformatted and restored only the User Data and Applications from the TM backup. In both cases, I get a kernel panic on reboot. Any ideas? I'm at my wits end and don't really want to manually copy everything from the TM backup.
