Hi InsanelyMac forums, this is my first post, but I was reading in it for a while.

I'm having trouble with iATKOS 10.5.7, JaS 10.4.6 and the recognition of my SATA drives.

I have the following configuration:

AMD Athlon X2 4600+

Asrock Alive NF6G-VSTA (2.59 BIOS, most recent)

Nvidia Nforce 430 (MCP61) Northbridge

XFX Nvidia Geforce 8500 GT

A SATA 80 GB hard disk, a SATA dvd drive and an IDE 160 GB hard disk

Not even the dvd boot it's working. The usual error on verbose mode of dvd load:

AppleNForceAta: warning: phy connection failed

AppleNForceAta: found 0 units

Still waiting root device

Several times each. So, InsanelyMac forums, what am I doing wrong? I need a special dvd for me?

Also I have the kext's for Sata,Audio,Video and Networking from OSx86 Wiki compatibility page for 10.5.2

Any help would be higly appreciated and thanks in advance.

Edit: "Obtaining" Kalyway 10.5.2 as well

EVEN with kalyway 10.5.2 with added kext's for my hardware, it's giving me the same "still waiting for root device". I'm a little angry at this point now with this. All the evening for nothing. At least, it seems like another distribution it's not going to help, and I don't wan't to donwload another anymore, so, I would be very happy if anyone can give me a chance of seeing it... at least booting the dvd (for now, I don't think I will be capable of installing it in any fashion).

I added to my signature all my specs. Also my BIOS it's... (being positive) useless.

Also, why my hard drives are stopping when AppleNforceATA are looking for them? I can hear them stopping, and starting again after reboot...

So, can anyone help me?

Here I am, again.

Seems like I can bypass the "Still waiting for root device" error with

-v rd=disk0s2

And after applenforceata, does kpanic in nfs_boot:

panic(cpu 0 caller 0x002D8B62):"nfs_boot_init failed with 6\n"@/volumes/disk1s2/leo_xnu...etc

If anyone is reading this, thanks.

Also, need help here, please.
