What you need:

- iPC 10.5.6

- iDeneb 10.5.7

- DSDT File, attached to this post

My 435mt:

- Ati 4850 510mb

- Intel Core i7 920

- 4GB DDR3 Memory

- Intel 82567LF Gigabit Ethernet Controller

- Realtek ALC888/1200

- x58 Motherboard

Bios settings:

- Hypertreading DISABLED

- Intel Speedstep DISABLED

- Intel Virtualisation Tech DISABLED

- Multiple CPU 1

1. Start with iPC and press f8. Type

“busratio=20 cpus=1 –v”

2. Go to disk utility and partition the hard disk in 2 partitions:

- Partition 1: Mac OS X extended, LEOPARD

- Partition 2: Fat32, WINDOWS

3. Start with Windows 7 instalation and format the “WINDOWS” partition, only format, not delete!

4. Install Windows on the second partition (The one you've just formatted)

5. Start with iPC and press f8. Type

“busratio=20 cpus=1 –v”

6. Select LEOPARD for instalation

7. Select following things:

- Base System

- Universel kernel

- LegacyAppleIntel

- RemoveAppleIntelCPUPower

- SMBIOS 1333 Mhz

- Patch DSDT

- USB Fix

8. After instalation of iPC start with iDeneb, press f8 and type “busratio=20 cpus=1 –v”

9. Select the following things and install:

- Ati 4850 files

- Intel 82556

- Seatbelt

- VoodooHDA

- Chameleon v2

- Kext helper v7

10. Start Leopard with “cpus=1 –v”, might take a while

11. Copy DSDT.aml to “LEOPARD”, your instalation partition (it's possible your Leopard system will crash after a while, just restart and try again, just be fast with copying, the DSDT.aml will prevent the crash later)

12. Restart and enable all bios settings

14. Boot into Leopard and go to /LEOPARD/System/Library/Extensions and delete the “IOATAFamily.kext”

15. Use kext helper v7 for installing the right “IOATAFamily.kext” and restart your computer

16. If everything went right your Dell 435mt will now boot in 30 seconds into your new Leopard system:)

This worked for me, after a lot of different distro's, kernels, etc. Hope it will work for you, feel free to ask questions!

Sweet. I'm going to try this when I get home. Does everything work?

Also, do you know where I can find iDeneb 10.5.7? I can only find the combo update. Will iDeneb 10.5.8 work?

I basically have the same machine except i took a nVidia GeForce GT220 (and have had tons of issues with getting full QE to work in previous attempts)

I used Yardie's Guide but somehow his guide sometimes works on my system, sometimes not (iATKOS v5 Guide).

I am gonna give your guide a chance and then also reinstall snow leopard and try to get the ICH10R to work in RAID mode.

Cheers

I confirm if you EXTRACT the Install Packages from the Full Package - QE/CI WORKS with my Dell GeForce GT220 (GT 220) 1 GB DDR3 PCIe FLAWLESSLY !!!

(Currently reinstalling w/ XxX 10.5.6 - In dire need of a proved solid platform compared to Snow Leopard - still WAY to buggy for my taste !!!)

Google for -> MAC285_2F16.dmg

Copy the -> NVIDIA Retail Mac Driver Installer 18.5.2f16.mpkg

Extract from the package -> Display Driver.pkg

Extract from the package -> Video Driver.pkg

Extract from the package -> OpenGL Driver.pkg

tar up your S/L/E just in case

Install all three. Rebuild Kextcaches + Repair Diskpermissions. Boom reboot. Flawless (work flawlessly even ifg it says its a GTS 250 :()

eVGA GeForce GTS 250:

HELP! i have the same system as VincentvanG except i have 2 HD's. i only followed his steps about half way down. I already had wondows 7 installed on one HD and just used iDENEB to install OSX on the second HD. When i go to boot the MAC OSX the grey apple shows up n look like its loading for a bit then a dark grey screen shows up and says restart.

Any suggestions? And i would try doing everything but i cant seem to find a good copy of iPC... any good sites to try?
