Hello.

Maybe this tutorial will hope someone. I rode a lot of forums to find solutions and to have an operational mac.

Notebook used : Presario a960em

1. First things : What works on my PC :

- graphics

- audio

- wifi

The wifi doesn't work sometimes but it's just necessary to restart the computer (sometimes two restarts is needed). But i didn't have de-connection problems.

what doesn't works :

- camera

- i can't control the speed of the fans. They are just switch off or on (at full speed) when it's needed.

2. DVD used:

First i tried "Kalyway 10,5,2" (tuto :http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=108034).

But i encountered several problems : graphics and wifi.

Then i found this tutorial which said to use "iatkos 10,5,7" (tuto : http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=175391).

With iatkos, i could have a mac which works with the specifications above.

3. Installation of iATKOS 10.5.7 :

In customize , i chose :

x89 patches > kernel > Voodoo kernel 9.7.0

driver > vga > intel > gma x3100

system > intelspeedstep (for battery control energy i think)

system > ps/2 mouse keyboard > voodoo PS2 driver with trackpad plugin

system > laptop battery (for battery view i think)

system > network > wired > realtek > RTL8139

wireless >> don't select anything

And GO >>>>>>>

Normally, the installation is OK

4. Wifi installation :

I think there is some problems with the update and the wifi, so you should update before the PC (using ethernet connexion) and the follow the next step. For my part, i installed the wifi first and after updating, impossible to have the wifi...

So for the wifi, follow this tuto :http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=175391

But you don't need to change IO80211Family.kext. So it's not necessary to use the program to repair kext permission.

To resume, you just have to install the driver of the wifi card. Restart (you should see the airport on top screen). And then install Kismac trunk r319. If it doesn't work, restart the PC (maybe two or three times).

Needed files. :P

5. Virtual PC :

For those who wants to have a virtual machine, there is another problems. Aparently, it's necessary to change the name of the kernel. Follow this tutorial : http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=161235

Everything was tested and works on my PC.

I hope it will help someone ... :D

==GOOD LUCK ==
