M4ciek
Hi. It's my first post I have Dell Inspiron 1520. Installation was easy but I don't have basic functions (sleep/shutdown/restart). There is a guide: Used kexts: -AppleACPIPS2Nub.kext -fakesmc.kext -IOATAFamily.kext -NullCPUPowerManagement.kext -OpenHaltRestart.kext -VoodooHDA.kext -VoodooPS2Controller.kext Shutdown / Restart - nothing... i must push power button 6sec Sleep - works... but wake up not. 1720 have the same problems with these functions... maybe editing DSDT.aml can help? But this inspiron's bios is a bit non-standard... Btw - in vesa mode shutdown/restart work. /edit: Maybe shuld I add - my graphic is nVidia GF 8600M GT 256 and after install works great without any kext / drivers. Slee: Macieks-Mac-Pro configd[13]: Sleep: Success - AC 88 - Software Sleep Macieks-Mac-Pro configd[13]: Wake: Success - AC 88 - USB3 PBTN LID ----- There is my dsdt file - clean, without any fixes etc. Maybe sb can look and check what is wrong with USB / HPET / Graphic... Aml file is patched (working usb / sound but not restart and sleep). dsdt.dsl.zip dsdt.aml.zip Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/192634-inspiron-1520-shutdown-restart-sleep/ Share on other sites
Jedis
Did you have any luck with this? I want to install Snow Leopard with near identical hardware.
