vxdre
(Vanilla install using SL retail) OK, so the first time I got this error I assumed I did something wrong, but the next two times when I went to install SL, I formatted my (ATA) hard disk from the installer itself. I made two partitions and I made sure to choose GUID as the partition map. The install goes just fine until the very end. I used the Totally Vanilla guide and a DSDT file for my mobo (Gigabyte GA-945GCMX-S2) from here, and the install boots just fine if I use my installer disk and then select my newly-installed hard drive. Can anyone tell me what I did wrong or didn't/forgot to do? lord_webi
when this error appears at the end of an installation this means nothing ... no problem at all, SL just can't read a device like DVD ...
