Please can somebody help me.

I am trying to get my NVIDIA GeForce 7600GT 256mb AGP to get work at full resolution but the result is always that the system hangs on boot.

hardware specs:

motherboard: Asus P5P800 ( AMI bios)

processor: Intel Pentium 4 , 3.4 GHz ( 1 core)

graphical card: NVIDIA GeForce 7600GT 256mb AGP

selected items in customize on iPC OSx86 10.5.6 Universal FINAL DVD

-Vodoo kernel 9.5.0

-chipset: intel ICHx

-PS2 keyboard and mouse

-Chameleon V1

-seatbelt.kext

Welcome screen apears and have desktop with default 1024x768 resolution.

Opened EFI studio and add GeForce 7600GT (256MB) string into com.apple.bootp.list.

Setting my permissions after that and reboot.

System reboots and hangs on last row with on the end oscpd[109]: starting it seems that it get past everything on boot but won`t start the OS finaly. Starting up in save mode have no effect,Still hanging.

Tried other stuff like:

Titan (system hangs on boot)

nvkush (system hangs on boot)

natit (system starts up but no effect)

Inject 0.2.1 256MB (system hangs on boot)

Tried another (older one) videocard nvidia geforce fx 5900 XT but have same hanging problem on boot when i add stuff like above mentioned.(choose related kext according to 5900 of course)

Does somebody have a solution for my problem to get my geforce 7600 to work on full resolution.

Thank you very much for any reply.

(Notice: sometimes when i boot with install cd or with succesfull boot with -x i hear something switching in my tower. Like something is switched off. Don`t know what it is.Maybe this is usefull information)

It's AGPGart (Graphics Address Remapping Table).

Just delete it, it doesn't work on motherboards with Intel 8x5 chipset.

For some 7600 cards it is necessary to hand edit the Nvidia drivers and insert the device ID of the card.

Go to the ProjectOSX.com forum and read the "guide for all nvidia boards" to learn how.
