Alinon
The version I have is 10.4.4 which comes with a built in upgrade to 10.4.5. I'd like to upgrade to .6 sometime but ofcoarse if I try to update via the OS it crashes hard and wont boot anymore. Is there a place to get this update thats compatible to our cause? Thanks! gwprod12
Yeah... you cant upgrade the OS with software update. The software updates are all EFI/TPM enabled... they will f*ck your system up.
Alinon
Yeah I found out pretty quick hah. I didnt know if there was a place to go for these x86 updates or something. Optimistic thinking I guess hah.
gwprod12
I just used the Goatsexc 10.4.6 distro. But I think you might be able to find a patched 10.4.6 upgrade. Or look for instructions on how to upgrade to 10.4.6 from within mac os x (then you can just download the update from Apple, though not through software update) and install it with instructions. ntnwwnet
Would using the downloadable update from the Apple website prevent crashing? The download at: http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/mac...46forintel.html
