cyberghoser1
Hello all, recently i used to install snow leo 10.6.1 full vanilla and so far everything works amazingly nice, i only encounter a single problem/issue with the wireless connectivity. My computer is a Advent 4211 equipped with the Realtek 8187SE wifi chipset, i am using like many others the realtek wireless utility to connect on my home wireless, basically it works nice, however i experience some drops when my system is on idle, when i am not doing anything on it and left it away, when i come back i try to open a random site or google for example and it hangs, i have to either click the turn the radio off button then wait for few secs and re enable it or close the utility and relaunch it to have wireless working back. I searched over the net and at msi wind forums and came across some fixes by using a shell script to keep pinging an ip to have the connection still alive, well this means some times that my ISP could not agree with that method thus i did not test it yet, i wanna ask if some of of you are having same issue and what did you do to fix it, i imagine using proxi software to make a trigger and add an event to keep the connection alive but i don't really know about applescript yet, is anyone able to explain or give some feedback on this? Thanks! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/190565-realtek-8187se-wireless-utility/ Share on other sites
