maleorderbride
Hardware specs: ASRock X58 Extreme Motherboard -X58/ICH 10R -Realtek ALC890 -Realtek 8111DL 750GB SATA II HDD (AHCI enabled in the BIOS) DL DVD/CD Drive SATA II 6GB(3x2GB) DDR3-1333 GTX285 (installing using a 7300GS 256MB to avoid video complications) I have a virgin 10.5.8 installation booting Chameleon 2RC2 on the drive. I created a DSDT.aml from an Aikito v7 install. I know the DSDT works because that install would KP with all 4 cores/HT enabled until I created the DSDT file and replaced the stock one on the Aikitos install. In my /Extra folder I have: DSDT.aml Extensions: -dsmos.kext -AHCIPortInjector.kext -disabler.kext Extensions.mkext (permissions set then built) Apple.com.Boot.plist (no flags or anything specified) The kexts were stolen from an ASUS P6T Deluxe retail Leo thread from this site. Since they are just X58 specific, the model should not matter much. I can deal with sound/ethernet/video later. However, when I boot (with -x -f -v, no flags, or cpus=1 busratio=20, or any combination of those) I get the same problem. It loads kexts (looks like just the /Extra/Extensions kexts) then the screen goes black and the system restarts. I wish I had a kernel panic error to work with, but instead I just have this reboot.
