synthysys
I finally got iPC 10.5.6 final, and tried to boot it (CD hash checks out, fyi). It hangs on "still waiting for root device" when booting the disk. I'm using a SATA hard drive and have tried both IDE and AHCI mode. Computer hardware is as follows: Motherboard: Zotac 8100 Video Card: ATI Radeon HD 4830 Wireless: RTL8187 CPU: AMD 64x2 (5200) RAM: 2GB DDR2 667 Any idea what the problem might be? I have a feeling I'll need to slipstream in some kext file or another, but I don't know where to begin. vilpostus
i h a c k i n t o s h.com/2009/05/still-waiting-for-root-device/ remove spaces. Try installing with AppleNForeATA nFoce drivers or AppleNForeATATest (not sure witch one, but surely need some Nvidia chipset driver).
