I am fairly new to all of this, but felt as if I have read my butt off with still no success.

I tried installing 10.5.6 on my desktop today, but once it go to the Apple screen (after install/reboot) it did nothing. I then rebooted and ran '-v' to see if I could see the errors. The bottom line of all that popped up is "OpenDSDT: [::attach] called". Then nothing. I googled that and found nothing.

I cannot get the circle loading sign to pop up while on the white apple load screen, so I figured I must have a problem....obviously. I selected, what I believed to be the correct drivers before install. I pulled out my motherboard user manual just to make sure I was selecting the correct ones.

My currenct set up is:

MotherBoard: Gigabyte M61P-S3

AMD Phenom 2.3GHz Quadcore

2GB Corsair RAM 667MHz

20gb ATA harddrive - I'm using a small one to test on

Can you all think of something I can try? I feel like I have tried googling/searching everything I could think of.

Thanks

Try installing without the DSDT patch.

Still no luck, it just restarted itself when it got to the darwin bootloader. :/ I'm going to go back and try reinstalling it and make sure I didn't miss anything. Can you all think of something else to try on this install?
